Heal And Empower: Ginger's Magic Against Indigestion

Ginger is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and is a flavor that heals as it helps relax the gastrointestinal tract muscles. Here are some simple ways how to use ginger to heal your gut:

Making Ginger Tea:

• Peel and slice a small piece of fresh ginger (about 1-2 inches).

• Place the ginger slices in a cup.

• Pour boiling water over the ginger.

• Cover and steep for about 5-10 minutes.

• Optionally, you can add a touch of honey or lemon for flavor.

If you are not into tea, that is fine. Here are some easy ways to sneak some fresh ginger into meals:

Grated Ginger:

• Grate fresh ginger using a fine grater or microplane.

• Add the grated ginger to soups, stews, curries, stir-fries, or marinades for a burst of flavor.

Stir-Fried Ginger:

• Thinly slice fresh ginger and add it to a hot skillet with a bit of oil.

• Stir-fry the ginger for about a minute until fragrant before adding other ingredients.

Smoothies:

• Add a small piece of peeled and grated ginger to your morning smoothie for a zesty kick.

Salad Dressings:

• Combine grated ginger with olive oil, vinegar, and other seasonings to create a flavorful salad dressing.

Infused Water:

• Add a few thin slices of fresh ginger to a jug of water and refrigerate for a refreshing ginger-infused beverage.

It's important to note that while fresh ginger is highly recommended for its potent flavor and health benefits, powdered ginger can also be used in a pinch. However, the flavor and potency may be slightly different compared to using fresh ginger.
